Chimera is a next generation media server for real time media playback and control.  Developed by Mind Games Studio, Chimera is designed from the ground up to be quick to respond and easy to use, without sacrificing the in depth control and functionality that is a must have when working in dynamic environments.

How Much Will Chimera Cost

Chimera will not be available for outright purchase, and instead will use a Software as a Service model for its distribution and use.  This means that when you wish to use Chimera for a show or event, you will purchase a license to operate each server connected to display devices.  Licensing rates will vary based on the duration of the license, and the amount of licenses purchased.  As well special concessions will be made for low budget and non profit institutions wishing to use Chimera.   Best of all Chimera will be free for high schools, colleges and special non profits who's events and shows are under a certain operating budget.

It should be noted that the Chimera Designer (the main software used to build shows and events) will always be freely available to our users for the purpose of evaluation, training and pre-production work.

When Can I Try Chimera

While development of the prototype version of Chimera is well under way, there is no way to accurately give a release date for the basic version of Chimera.  Our release schedule depends greatly on several unknown variables, such as funding and technical issues.  As soon as we have a prospective date for Beta testing of Chimera, we will make an announcement.
